The roots are already in the 19th century

Already in the 19th century groups were founded in Schlitz to present their costumes in folk dance, singing or theater play.

The following events are documented:

1844 People in traditional costumes participate in the inauguration of the Ludwig-Monument in Darmstadt.

1891 Emperor Wilhelm II visits Schlitz

1922 Summer fair in the village of Pfordt

1925 The theatre group from Schlitz and some citizens from Pfordt found a new folklore dancing group

1926 In honor of the 70th anniversary of the choir "Das Harmonische Kränzchen" a first parade took place in Schlitz
