The children's group
Our children’s group, fondly called the "Firweshüpper", exists since 1975.
The children's group was founded by Herbert Wunsch and Elfriede Beck. As the interest in participating was quite huge the group soon consisted of more than 100 children. In 1975, the children's group already had their very first official performance.
Everyone between 5 and 10 years of age can join our group. You just have to be interested in dancing. There is a lot to experience together with the other TVK-kids. We combine traditions & folklore costumes with fun, joy & dancing. In 2008 we spent the first time overnight without our parents. This was really exciting.
The highlight is undoubtedly the ‘Schlitzerländer Trachtenfest’. Without our association ‘Schlitzerländer Trachten- und Volkstanzkreis’ the festival would not exist. Here, we perform in front of a big audience what we have learned during the past two years. We perform in costumes and also participate in the traditional parade. Throughout the year, we represent the ‘Schlitzerländer’ costumes and dances on various occasions (e.g., children's festivals, club jubilees, birthdays).
